The 1:35 Kübelwagen wheel masking set from Quickwheel covers the rim and leaves only the tire exposed, so you can spray it without lining by hand. The cutouts are cut for the wheels from the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is neither a model nor a set of replacement wheels, but a self-adhesive masking aid. The masks stick onto the rim and separate it from the tire while you spray. The border between the colors is set by the cut, not by a stroke of the brush. The set is prepared for the wheels from the Tamiya kit.
On a light field car the wheel has only a handful of parts, yet it is visible in full and from very close up. Painting the wheels also comes at the point where a great deal of work has already gone into the model, which is exactly why it is the moment when the most can go wrong. One slip of the brush across a light rim means a touch-up, a touch-up means another coat of paint, and on a small wheel that coat easily fills the shape detail. The mask removes that scenario entirely: paint reaches only where it should, and even if your hand slips, the excess stays on the mask. That certainty is worth having even when you trust yourself to line a wheel by hand, because a rescued finished model costs you a whole evening of rework.
Paint the wheels before you fit them to the axles. Let the primer cure completely, or the mask will lift it as you peel it off. Apply the paint thinly and evenly. Once the mask is off, check the edge against the light.
The package holds masking masks, not model parts. Paints, thinners and glue are not part of the delivery.
