This item is NOT a vehicle model but a set of replacement wheels. It contains off-road tires in size 325/85 R16 XML and the matching hubs for eight-wheeled armored vehicles of the LAV II family in 1:35 scale. The faithfully rendered tread pattern and sidewalls will make the chassis look more realistic than the parts from the original kit.
The LAV II is a family of light wheeled armored vehicles in an 8x8 configuration, used by a number of armed forces in reconnaissance, transport and combat versions. Large off-road tires with a deep tread pattern are characteristic of these vehicles and allow them to drive in demanding terrain.
Clean the flash off the wheels and lightly sand the edges. A slight flattening where they rest on the ground, the weighted effect, will give the vehicle a sense of mass. The tires can be dusted with pigments and completed with dried mud in the tread for convincing weathering.
These are replacement parts, not a stand-alone model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
