It is not a tank kit: it is an accessory for a model you have already built. The Canadian Leopards from Kandahar are among the most rewarding subjects in modern armor precisely because of how sharply they differed from the standard German appearance.
The Leopard 2A6M is a version of the German main battle tank with a long 120 mm gun barrel and markedly strengthened mine protection under the hull floor. The Canadian army acquired these tanks for deployment in southern Afghanistan, where the threat of improvised devices was a daily reality and where it turned out that a heavy tank still has its place in a modern conflict. The Canadian machines were additionally fitted with the Barracuda camouflage system, a layer of camouflage mats drawn over the hull and turret that reduces the vehicle's signature not only to the eye but in other parts of the spectrum as well, while also limiting the heating of the armor in the sun. It is that broken-up textile layer that gives the Canadian Leopards their unmistakable look.
Lay the items out dry before painting and check that they do not cover the hatches and vision ports you want to keep visible. It pays to paint the accessories away from the vehicle and fit them only when they are finished. Tell the different materials apart by shade and by gloss, and keep the textiles flat. Finally unify the whole thing with a dust shade and fix it with a matte varnish.
