The rig represents a tractor with a three-axle lowboy trailer intended for transporting tanks and other heavy armored vehicles. The model is an extensive build with a great many parts, suited to modelers who enjoy large logistics rigs.
The heavy wheeled tractor based on a MAN vehicle served the American forces, above all in Europe during the Cold War, for hauling lowboy semitrailers. The M747 transporter is a low-bed three-axle semitrailer designed to move main battle tanks and other tracked vehicles by road over long distances, sparing their running gear and their fuel.
Prepare the details of the cab and of the engine section before closing them up. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic and the photo-etched and metal parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After the primer and the airbrushed base color, bring the load bed of the trailer and the running gear to life with a wash into the recesses and with pigments for dust and mud effects.
