Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer I Love Kit. The subject is the American light tactical vehicle from the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle program, specifically the M1278 Heavy Guns Carrier variant in the General Purpose fit. The model is tied to exactly that variant, because the JLTV family covers more than one body fit.
The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle is a modern American armored wheeled vehicle of the 4x4 category that replaces older light cross-country vehicles. The design puts the emphasis on protecting the crew against mines and improvised explosive devices, on large ground clearance and on independent wheel suspension with long travel, which allows fast movement across country. The M1278 variant is among the fits with an open superstructure for a weapon station on the roof of the hull. The vehicles are delivered in configurations that differ in their armor sets and equipment according to the task.
On this type the chassis with its independent suspension is a visible part of the model, so build it carefully and paint it before you cover it with the hull. Paint the frame, the wheels and the weapon station separately. Mask the glazing and the optics and fit them only once the varnish is down. Modern vehicles look realistic with mild weathering rather than heavy: fine dust on the lower surfaces, chipping on the step edges and the walking surfaces, and a minimum of rust. For an even single-color coat an airbrush and pre-shading of the seams are suitable.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
