The M3 Lee was an American medium tank of the early Second World War, characterized by a 75 mm gun mounted in a sponson on the side of the hull and a smaller revolving turret with a 37 mm gun. It was a transitional solution born of the need to field a powerful gun quickly, before the later Sherman matured. The M3A1 version differed from the basic variant in having a cast upper hull instead of a riveted one. Tanks of the M3 family also served with British units (as the Lee and the Grant) and, under Lend-Lease deliveries, with other Allies as well.
With this tank, assemble and paint the running gear, the wheels and the lower areas before closing up the hull. Separate the parts with a cutter and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. After spraying the base shade with an airbrush, pick out the cast texture of the hull and the turret, the recesses and the rivets with a dark wash. Add dust, mud and traces of service with pigments on the running gear and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
