This set from the manufacturer AFV Club brings running gear with horizontal volute spring suspension (HVSS, Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension) for M4 Sherman medium tanks. It is not a model of the tank but an accessory that will replace or complete the running gear on your kit.
HVSS was the later type of Sherman suspension, which took over from the older vertical volute spring suspension, VVSS. It brought wider tracks, a better spread of ground pressure and a smoother ride; its recognition features are the dual road wheels and the new design of the bogies.
Clean the mold flash off the parts and assemble the pivoting parts so that they stay movable and the wheels sit correctly on the track. Paint it once everything is dry, then bring the details out with a wash and apply dust pigments to the lower areas.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
