Loader hatch for the M4 Sherman turret in 1:35 from PANZER ART: a resin part for modifying the turret. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin part in 1:35 scale represents the loader hatch for the turret of the American M4 Sherman medium tank. It is an accessory for a finished model, not a kit. The casting carries the hinge, the latch and the reinforcing ribs, details that are hard to reproduce in injection-molded plastic, and another advantage of resin is that the hatch can be fitted open.
Shermans were built in many versions and the turret changed during production. Early vehicles had a single hatch in the roof, while later a second opening was added for the loader so that the crew could leave the vehicle more quickly. The presence or absence of this hatch is one of the easiest recognition features for telling how late a given vehicle is.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw and level the surface with a file; protect your airways while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. If you still have to cut the opening in the turret roof, trace the shape from the part and remove the material gradually. An open hatch means the interior will be visible, so count on painting the inside of the turret.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
