The M40 was an American heavy self-propelled gun of 155 mm caliber built on the lengthened and modified chassis of the M4A3 Sherman tank with HVSS suspension. It was deployed at the close of the Second World War and served in the following years as long-range artillery support.
Finish the running gear and the lower areas of the hull first, and close up the superstructure only afterwards. Use liquid cement for plastic, treat the surface with a primer and apply the paint with an airbrush. The large gun and the open fighting platform are worth matching with figures and period equipment.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
