This plastic kit in 1:35 scale represents the American M8 Greyhound light armored car, a popular reconnaissance machine of the Second World War. The model faithfully captures the flat hull, the open turret and the suspension of the six wheels. A ring mount with a heavy machine gun can be fitted to the turret, and the large front and rear fenders can be taken off after assembly. Stowage baskets and boxes can be added along the sides, so the finished car looks richly equipped.
The M8 Greyhound was a six-wheeled lightly armored car with all-wheel drive that the American army used mainly for reconnaissance. It was armed with a 37 mm gun and a coaxial machine gun, often supplemented on the turret by a heavy machine gun against aircraft and ground targets alike. The car stood out for its speed and range on hard roads, which let it move quickly around the battlefield. It served on the Western Front and in other theaters and became one of the typical Allied reconnaissance vehicles.

The open turret invites you to work up the inside, which stays in view once the build is finished. Lay the base olive coat on with an airbrush over primer, and dark washes in the recesses and the engraved lines will add depth. Suggest dust and mud with pigments around the wheels and on the underside, and paint chipping will bring the edges, the fenders and the step surfaces to life. Suitable decals will settle the question of which unit it belongs to.
