This is a resin detail set, not a vehicle model. The set brings a more accurate replacement for the mantlet of the main gun and for the machine gun mantlet, with the texture of the cast surface and the marks from manufacture faithfully captured, for models of the tank destroyer Jagdpanzer IV L/70. You fit them in place of the plastic parts on a model that is already being built.
The cast mantlets are the visually exposed front part of the machine. The resin castings reproduce the rough texture and the casting marks far more faithfully than smooth injection-molded plastic, which gives a model an authentic look.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean the seating surfaces up. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and sand resin with respiratory protection. The casting texture is brought out by a dark wash and drybrushing.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
