It captures the Soviet heavy tractor MAZ-537G in its late production version, coupled with the heavy ChMZAP-9990 semi-trailer for carrying tanks and heavy hardware. The assembly holds a large number of parts and photo-etched elements; the finished model reaches a respectable length.
The MAZ-537 was a legendary heavy tractor with drive to all eight wheels, powered by a twelve-cylinder diesel engine with an output of around 525 horsepower. From the end of the 1950s it served as the main carrier of the heavy hardware of the Soviet army. The ChMZAP-9990 semi-trailer allowed loads of a weight up to around fifty tons to be carried, tanks included.
On a sizeable tractor and semi-trailer, give attention to the chassis and the axles before painting. Given the size, it pays to paint the model with an airbrush and to break the shades up. Washes, dust pigments on the running gear and fine paint scuffs on the edges will add realism.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
