An extensive injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy tractor MAZ-7410 with a special low-bed semi-trailer for transporting tanks and oversized loads. The kit belongs to the higher category by its parts count — it contains a detailed chassis with the engine and the drivetrain, two side cabs with interiors, rubber tires with a faithful tread pattern, photo-etched parts and copper wire.
The MAZ-7410 belongs to the family of Soviet heavy tractors derived from the MAZ-537 series, which were intended for hauling low-bed trailers with loads weighing tens of tons. They were powered by a powerful diesel engine and thanks to the multi-axle layout they could move tanks and heavy equipment both on the road and off it. A tractor and semi-trailer combination formed the backbone of moving and recovering armored units.
Given the large number of parts, work in subgroups — first the chassis, the engine and the drivetrain, then the cabs and finally the semi-trailer. Fit the rubber tires only after the hubs have been painted. Restrained weathering suits a single-color base of khaki or green: a wash in the recesses of the frame, a dry brush on the edges and dust and mud pigments on the wheels and the chassis. Liven up the load bed of the trailer with traces left by the cargo.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
