This resin set holds replacement road wheels with a cross-country tread pattern, in German Gelände, for the Mercedes 4500 Maultier half-track truck in 1:35 scale. The accessory is intended for more advanced modelers and replaces the plastic wheels of the base kit with a more faithful casting with a sharp tread.
The Maultier, meaning mule, was a half-track conversion of German trucks of the Second World War in which the rear axle was replaced with a tracked bogie for better mobility in the muddy and snowy ground of the Eastern Front. The front wheels carried cross-country tires with a heavier tread.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut off the casting blocks. Bond the wheels with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The tread comes out well once painted and lightly brought up with dry pigments and mud effects on the lower part of the vehicle.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
