The FV510 Warrior is a British tracked infantry fighting vehicle. On the front fenders it carries thin width indicator rods, by which the driver judges the width of the machine in narrow passages, and on the turret smoke grenade launchers for screening the vehicle quickly. Both are small and slender features, which in a kit are necessarily thicker than the scale would call for.
Turned replacement parts in 1:35 scale that replace these features. According to the name the set is cut for the MENG SS-017 kit. The number of pieces and the rest of the contents of the package are to be found in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the original parts off the kit with a sharp blade and sand the area left behind flat. Wash and degrease the replacement parts before gluing - polystyrene cement has no effect on them, so use cyanoacrylate glue in a small amount. Better to pre-drill the holes for seating with a micro drill and fit the part dry before you fix it. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise the top shade will take hold poorly.
For modelers who want to replace the thinnest features on the Warrior with a part of more faithful cross-section and more regular shape. It is a small change that shows at close range even on a finished model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
