A set of parts intended for reworking a model of the American GMC CCKW-352 truck into a carrier for the BM-13 multiple rocket launcher. It is not a kit of the vehicle in its own right: without the basic model of the truck you will not build it. The extent of the set and the material of the parts are stated on the box.
The GMC CCKW was an American three-axle truck with 6x6 drive and a payload of around two and a half tons, produced in great numbers and supplied to the Allies as war aid. The version with the shorter wheelbase carried the designation 352. The BM-13 multiple rocket launcher was a Soviet system firing 132 mm rockets from a frame with guide rails; it was mounted on whatever chassis happened to be available, and the American trucks supplied were among them. The combination of an American chassis and a Soviet launcher body is therefore a historically documented subject and a popular one among modelers.
The key is the geometry of the frame with the rails: assemble it dry, check that the rails are parallel to each other and only then fix them. Paint the launcher body separately from the cab and join them only at the end, otherwise it is hard to reach into the corners. Pick out the chipped paint on the edges of the rails sparingly, and to complete the scene add dust on the wheels, which ties the vehicle to the groundwork.
