This accessory from Armour Models aims at the forward cab of the tracked radar and at the instrument panels that can be seen from it. It is not a model in itself: without the matching kit in 1:35 scale you will not make use of it.
The crew cab is the only place on this machine you can look into without extensive work on the body. It is enough to open the side door a little or lift the hatch, and the seat, the controls and the panel with the gauges are all visible at once. Yet it is the instrument panels that a kit most often solves with a flat part, so replacing them with a more intricate rendition is the most rewarding investment of time in the whole interior. The reward is a view that models of radar hardware usually lack.
Fit the panels before you glue the walls of the cab together; once it is closed you will no longer reach them. The dials come out when light paint is applied over a dark base only at the edges and a drop of gloss clear varnish is placed in the middle to imitate the glass. Levers and switches are worth picking out in a different tone, otherwise they disappear in the gloom of the cab. Finally unify the whole space with a weak dark deposit into the corners.
