The S-300V is a Soviet surface-to-air missile system developed for the ground forces. It is told apart from related systems of the same family at first glance, because its vehicles stand on a tracked chassis and are therefore able to keep pace with advancing units off the roads. A model of such a vehicle combines a massive tracked running gear with the tall superstructure that carries the launcher.
This is a masking set for painting a model in 1:35 scale, prepared according to the name for the Trumpeter kit. The masks are cut to shape, so you do not have to cut the boundaries between shades laboriously from tape on the part itself and the line stays the same width along its whole length. The extent of the set and the recommended order of the shades are in the manufacturer's instructions.
The masks are stuck on before spraying, onto a degreased and perfectly dry surface. Press the edges down with a toothpick along their whole length, otherwise the paint will run under exactly where the edge should be sharpest. Spray perpendicular to the surface and in several thin coats. Take the mask off shortly after it has dried, with tweezers and a pull at an angle to the side. In the broken-up places around the superstructure, plan the procedure beforehand so that the individual shades follow one another without needless remasking.
The package contains a masking set. The kit, paints and thinner are not included, unless stated otherwise.
