An injection-molded plastic kit of the Panzer I light tank in the Breda version of the Spanish Civil War period in 1:35 scale from AMMO of Mig Jimenez. It is a limited edition with new parts for the Breda variant, photo-etched items, workable tracks and several decal options. The box also contains period photographs as reference for painting and markings.
The Panzer I was a German light tank of the prewar generation, originally conceived above all as a training and light combat machine with machine gun armament. During the Spanish Civil War it turned out that its machine guns were not enough against the enemy's armored vehicles. The answer was the Breda version, in which an Italian 20 mm automatic cannon was fitted into a modified turret, considerably increasing the firepower of the vehicle. This Spanish modification is one of the interesting chapters in the development of light tanks.
Finish and paint the running gear and the workable tracks before final assembly. Use liquid cement for plastic and work in subassemblies, and glue the small photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. The character of a vehicle of the Spanish Civil War is brought out by washes in the recesses and pigments for dust and mud effects; use the period photographs from the box as reference.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
