The final form of the cast roller mount of the Panzer IV, 1:35 scale: the last variant of the whole line.
Responsibility details are not available.
The last variant of the cast base of the return rollers for a model of the Panzer IV, 1:35 scale. The name sets it apart from the numbered patterns and from the late form of the same line as well. It is assumed that you already have the base model. The set is aimed at modelers who finish a build down to the last detail.
The final shape of the assembly was created at a time when speed of production was the main concern. Details were simplified, the surface stayed coarser and accuracy of outline gave way. On a model the difference shows mainly in the outline of the base and in the transition to the side of the superstructure, so it is clearly noticeable even under a coat of paint. For a builder that means one thing: exactly this shape belongs on a vehicle from the last months of production, not the older, more carefully made pieces.
The rollers carry the top run of the track, so lubricant, wear from the track and dust from the road all settle on them. It looks best when the dark shade is concentrated around the hub and light dust is left to settle from above. Build the layers up gradually. Apply the pigment dry and brush the excess away, so that it does not cake into patches.
