The set replaces the return rollers of the top run of the track on a model of the Panzer IV in 1:35 scale. According to the name these are all-steel rollers with a cast base, and specifically its first pattern. It is fitted to the side of the superstructure of a model you already have under construction.
The original return rollers had a rubber tire band. As the availability of rubber worsened during the war, German production moved to all-metal pieces, which did without rubber and withstood higher wear. The change also affected the mounting: the roller was fitted to a base attached to the hull side, and it is exactly the form of that base that sets the individual sets apart from one another. On a model the exchange is clearly readable, because the outline of the whole assembly changed too.
First remove the original mountings from the hull side and level the surface. Glue the rollers on only after a dry fit, so that they sit at the same height; unevenness shows later in the sag of the track. Cyanoacrylate glue holds more reliably on add-on parts than cement for polystyrene. Apply the primer in a thin coat, so that the texture of the surface is not clogged.
