A plastic kit of the German Panzerjäger Jagdtiger super-heavy tank destroyer from the manufacturer Tamiya in 1:35 scale. The model captures the massive box superstructure with the long 12.8 cm gun and also offers part of the internal fittings of the fighting compartment. The kit is intended to be glued and painted.
The Jagdtiger was the heaviest series-produced tank destroyer of the Second World War, with a combat weight of over 70 tons. On a chassis derived from the Tiger II tank it carried a long 12.8 cm gun that could destroy opponents at great range. Its thick armor made it all but impenetrable from the front, but its great weight worsened its mobility and reliability and many machines ended up abandoned through breakdown or lack of fuel. Only a few dozen were built, which makes it one of the rarest German combat vehicles.
Finish and paint the internal parts and the gun compartment before closing the superstructure, otherwise you will not reach them later. Assemble the running gear before the hull; use liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush. The large surfaces of the superstructure are ideal for three-color camouflage. Complement the Dunkelgelb base with camouflage, a wash and pigments; concentrate dust and mud on the running gear and the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
