The Type 63 rocket launcher is among the most widespread weapons of its kind. Its strength lies in its simplicity: a light towed carriage, a cluster of 107 mm launcher tubes and a salvo that the crew fires within a few seconds before immediately changing position. It is precisely its low weight that made it a favored weapon wherever fire support had to be moved quickly and without heavy equipment. The accompanying BJ212 off-road vehicle is a light four-wheeled car of Chinese manufacture with an open body, which served for liaison, reconnaissance and as a tractor for light weapons.
A kit of both subjects in 1:35 scale, to be glued and painted. The parts are on injection-molded sprues and are glued with cement for polystyrene. The vehicle and the rocket launcher are assembled separately, so you can build them apart or hitch the vehicle up and make the pair into a single whole.
The set suits modelers drawn to less usual subjects and present-day equipment, as well as builders of dioramas where a pair of vehicles tells a story by itself. Paints, glue and figures are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
