An injection-molded plastic kit of the German medium tank Pz.Kpfw.IV in the Ausf.D version in 1:35 scale from Tamiya. This is a classic mold from the brand, which tends to come with parts for different production standards and with figures. The model thus captures the early-war shape of one of the longest-produced German tanks.
The Pz.Kpfw.IV was a German medium tank, and in the Ausf.D version it belonged among the early-war standards used in the campaigns at the beginning of the Second World War, including the fighting in Poland and in France. It carried the short 75 mm KwK 37 L/24 weapon, originally intended for infantry fire support rather than for tank duels. The Pz.IV gradually became the backbone of the German armored forces and was produced in many variants right up to the end of the war.
Finish and paint the running gear, the wheels and the lower hull before you close the hull up. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. The uniform German gray (Panzergrau) is typical of early-war service, while desert shades suit the North African standard. Spray the base color over a primer; a dark wash into the recesses and dry-brushing on the edges will bring out the detail. Dust and mud pigments on the running gear will give the tank its weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
