The Tiger II Henschel 1:35 plastic kit from Hobby Boss captures the German heavy tank Pz.Kpfw.VI Sd.Kfz.182 in the late production form of July 1945.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Tiger II heavy tank in the late production Henschel version. The model captures the standard production (Henschel) turret and offers a richly detailed hull. A turned metal barrel, which adds to the fidelity of the model, is usually included. The finished tank is one of the large and impressive pieces of a collection.
The Tiger II, also known as the Königstiger, was a German heavy tank of the Second World War with markedly sloped hull armor similar to the layout of the Panther. The version with the Henschel turret had a simplified design with a flat front plate and no shot trap. Nine overlapping road wheels on each side and a powerful gun were among its characteristic features.
Finish the running gear and the hull fittings first and only then close the hull up. The large surfaces are rewarding for color modulation with an airbrush and for late German camouflage with stripes and blotches. Mud and dust effects, washes and pigments on the running gear make a convincing patina; a turned barrel needs no filling of the lengthwise seam.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
