An injection-molded plastic kit of the Renault FT TSF radio command tank in 1:35 scale from RPM.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the radio command version of the famous Renault FT tank, designated TSF, in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker RPM. It is an older mold with simpler technology, which will reward the careful approach of a more experienced modeler. The box contains plastic parts, decals and instructions. The model will appeal to enthusiasts of First World War equipment and of the beginnings of tank development.
The Renault FT was a groundbreaking French light tank from the end of the First World War and is generally regarded as the first production tank with a fully rotating turret. It was the FT that introduced the layout which became the standard: the driver at the front, the fighting compartment with the rotating turret in the middle and the engine at the rear. The TSF version (telegraphie sans fil) was the radio command variant, in which a square fixed superstructure with room for the crew and a radio set took the place of the turret. It served to control tank units and keep them in communication.
Use liquid cement for plastic and allow for the fact that this is an older mold, where it pays to clean up the mold seams and ejector pin marks. Finish the running gear before closing up the hull. Apply a primer before painting and put the colors on with an airbrush. On First World War equipment, multicolor camouflage schemes and strong mud weathering on the running gear stand out well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
