A set of resin rivets in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel. The figure in the name gives the diameter of the rivet head, here 1.0 mm, that is the coarsest size in this range. It is a detail accessory for fitting out a model that is already built, a conversion or a part made by your own efforts, not a kit.
A head of 1.0 mm diameter corresponds in 1:35 scale to roughly thirty-five millimeters in reality. Rivets like that belong on genuinely massive structures: on the riveted armor of older equipment, on lattice girders, crane jibs, bridge structures, steam engines, boilers and industrial buildings in a diorama. On thin plate and small units they would, on the contrary, look out of place, and there you should reach for the smaller sizes from the same range.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water. Given the size of the head, inaccuracies in the spacing are obvious at first glance here, so mark the line out beforehand with a scribed line or a strip of masking tape and set them in gradually from the edge. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, which you pick up with a toothpick and apply to the model. Once dry, even the surface out with a primer. Large heads behave excellently in weathering: a dark wash around them creates a shadow and a fine highlight with a dry brush gives the impression of worn metal. On structures like these the rust concentrates around the rivets, which is worth making use of.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
