This is a resin aftermarket accessory, not a model on its own. The set contains cast road wheels with the commercial (civilian) tread and replaces the plastic parts from the box on models of the heavy off-road car Horch 1a. The castings have a crisp rendering of the tread and detail on the rims.
The Horch 1a was among the German heavy standardized off-road cars of the Second World War, which served as staff and reconnaissance vehicles. The cars ran on large tires whose tread differed according to the maker and the intended use.
Wash the mold release agent off the castings, cut the casting blocks away and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand with respiratory protection. The tread stands out once it has been dusted with pigments; a slight flattening of the tire where it meets the road also looks natural.
The aftermarket accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
