A resin set of precisely cast wheels with tires in the Gelände off-road pattern for models of the Horch 1a heavy cross-country car in 1:35 scale. It replaces the plastic wheels with castings that have a faithful tread, sidewall and rim. This is an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers, not a model in its own right.
The Horch 1a belongs to the family of heavy cross-country standard cars (schwerer Einheits-Pkw) used by the German army as staff and liaison vehicles. It is a wheeled vehicle on pneumatic tires, whose contact patch naturally flattens a little under the weight of the car; the Gelände off-road tread was meant for demanding terrain.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin castings with warm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and clean up the surfaces; do the sanding with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tire dark gray rather than pure black and the rim according to the subject; finally add dust and mud with pigments for a faithful look.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the intended kit are not included in the package.
