This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Soviet 9A52-2 Smerch-M self-propelled rocket launcher of the 9K58 system on a heavy wheeled chassis. The 1:35 scale model from Trumpeter is an extensive build with a large number of parts, a complete drivetrain, clear parts for the glazing, a photo-etched fret and decals.
Smerch is a Soviet large-caliber rocket launcher system developed in the 1980s to destroy area targets at long range. The launcher containers are carried on a heavy off-road chassis and can be traversed and elevated. The system ranks among the most powerful artillery rocket launchers in its class.
Build this large vehicle in subassemblies; assemble the chassis and the drivetrain first. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement, the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and the glazing with glue for clear parts. Apply a primer, spray the shades with an airbrush and tune the surface with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
