Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet 9P148 Konkurs self-propelled carrier of anti-tank guided missiles in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The vehicle is based on the amphibious BRDM-2 chassis (NATO designation Spandrel). The model has a detailed hull and, according to the manufacturer, photo-etched parts and rubber tires. Check the exact contents of the box and the number of parts against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The 9P148 Konkurs is a variant of the amphibious BRDM-2 scout vehicle adapted as a carrier for 9M113 Konkurs anti-tank guided missiles. It shares the wheeled chassis and hull of the BRDM-2, including the pair of retractable belly wheels for better cross-country performance and a waterjet for swimming. The launcher with several missiles folded down onto the roof in the travel position. The vehicle served anti-tank units as mobile fire support.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with thin modeling cement for plastic. First assemble the chassis and the hull, and fit the rubber tires only after painting. Bond the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush, because a uniform green is typical of Soviet equipment. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and complete the underside and the tires with dust and mud pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
