An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet PT-76B light amphibious tank in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the B version with the stabilized D-56TM gun and a two-chamber muzzle brake. The box contains parts in gray plastic, photo-etched metal accessories and connectable track links.
The PT-76 was a Soviet light amphibious tank intended for reconnaissance and for crossing water obstacles. In the water it moved by means of waterjets. The PT-76B version was given a stabilized 76 mm gun and a number of detail changes. The tank served in the Soviet Army and in many armies of the Eastern Bloc and of friendly states.
Assemble the running gear before the hull is closed up. Given the amphibious character of the subject, take care to assemble the floating hull cleanly. Apply the base coat with an airbrush over a primer; the weathering is built up with washes and pigments. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
