An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Russian T-14 tank on the universal Armata platform, in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. According to the manufacturer it offers fine surface detail, multipart individual track links and photo-etched extras. The model builds the characteristic look of the vehicle with its large unmanned turret and angular armor panels.
The T-14 Armata is a new-generation Russian tank, first shown publicly in 2015. Its main feature is the unmanned turret - the crew of three sits in an armored capsule in the front of the hull, separated from the ammunition and the gun. The concept is meant to increase crew protection, and the machine combines a large-caliber gun with modern sensors. The vehicle was presented as a platform for a whole family of armored vehicles.
Assemble the running gear and the individual track links first and let them harden, then the lower hull; after that finish the panels and the turret. Glue the plastic with thin cement and bend the photo-etched parts over an edge. Apply primer and spray a modern Russian shade with an airbrush; pick out the panel edges with a lighter tint. A restrained patina comes from fine washes and modest dust pigments - modern vehicles tend to be cleaner.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
