Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian (Soviet) T-80B main battle tank in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The model is well worked out, with a multi-part turret and lower hull; according to the contents of the package, individual track links and photo-etched parts may also be included. It is an unassembled and unpainted kit to be glued together.
The T-80 became the first series-produced tank powered by a gas turbine; it entered Soviet service in 1976. Shortly afterwards the T-80B variant brought a new turret, an updated fire-control system and the ability to launch an anti-tank guided missile through the barrel. The main armament is a 125 mm gun with an autoloader.
Assemble and glue the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull up. Apply the base coat with an airbrush; for a faithful patina use dark washes in the recesses and the engraved lines and pigments for dust and mud effects on the running gear. Fine-tune the turret guards and accessories at the end. Before gluing, clean the parts of flash and sprue remnants and first dry-fit the individual parts; glue with liquid cement for plastic, which joins the seam firmly and cleanly. For better paint adhesion apply a primer first and lay the paint on in thin coats, ideally with an airbrush. Before weathering, even the surface out with a varnish and let every coat dry thoroughly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
