This set of individual white metal tracks in 1:35 scale faithfully replaces the plastic or rubber tracks on models of Soviet tracked vehicles. It imitates the wide swamp pattern of track used on vehicles such as the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, the MT-LB armored personnel carrier, the Strela-10 self-propelled anti-aircraft system and the BMP-23 fighting vehicle. The links are assembled one by one and joined with cut lengths of wire that form the pins. The weight of the metal gives the track a realistic sag between the road wheels. The manufacturer is Friulmodel, a specialist in metal tracks and wheels.
Clean the individual links, level any flash and thread them onto wire pins cut to the length you need. The assembled track can be chemically blackened or sprayed with a primer suitable for metal to make the paint hold better. Build the shade of the track up from dark steel and brown-gray, complemented by rust, mud and dust pigments; polish the metal faces with graphite or a dry brush.
This is a metal accessory for a model, not a complete kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
