A resin accessory from PANZER ART in 1:35 scale. This is not a model of the tank but a set of improvised sandbag additional armor for the Italian Fiat M13/40 medium tank. The castings are fitted to the hull and the turret and they give the vehicle the characteristic look of the fighting in North Africa. In its dimensions it is based on the Tamiya kit.
The Fiat M13/40, also known as the Carro Armato M13/40, was an Italian medium tank of the early Second World War armed with a 47 mm gun. In the desert, crews piled sandbags, spare track links and other material onto the armor on their own account as protection against bullets and splinters. The set reproduces these field fittings faithfully.
Wash the parts free of release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces, with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The texture of the hessian comes out once it has been painted and given a fine wash and a dry brush; dust pigments will support a desert setting.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The Tamiya base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
