This resin accessory depicts the added sand armor for the German medium tank Panzer III in the form for the North African theater. It is not a tank kit but a set of castings of the kind that were fixed to the hull and the turret as an improvised protective layer. The accessory is intended for models of the Panzer III in 1:35 scale.
German units in North Africa strengthened their vehicles with extra plates and with bags in order to raise resistance to armor-piercing ammunition. Sand armor became a typical feature of African Panzer IIIs and markedly changes their silhouette. The castings faithfully follow the shape of the plates and the surface, and they seat accurately on the corresponding hull.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean the seating surfaces up with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Try the joints dry, then unify the surface with the hull using paint and desert weathering.
