An injection-molded plastic kit of the Schwerer kleiner Panzerkampfwagen in 1:35 scale from Das Werk — the German project for a heavily armored small tank destroyer of 1944 in a 2 in 1 version.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the German project for a heavily armored small tank destroyer of 1944. The box is conceived as a 2 in 1 — it offers two variants of the gun armament and several marking options, so different versions can be built from one box. The set contains photo-etched parts and link tracks assembled link by link. It is a so-called paper project that never got off the drawing board, which makes it a rewarding subject for collectors of German experimental vehicles of the end of the war.
The subject is one of the German designs of the last year of the war, which was to combine thick frontal armor with a compact hull in the spirit of the Hetzer and Jagdpanzer tank destroyers. The vehicle was to carry a powerful gun in a fixed superstructure without a rotating turret. The project remained only in the form of documentation and no prototype was built, so it belongs among the so-called what-if subjects of the late Wehrmacht.
First assemble the running gear and the internal parts of the hull, which are hard to get into place once the shell is closed. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate and the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Apply a primer before painting and spray the shades with an airbrush. Create the weathering with a dark wash that runs into the engraved lines and around the rivets; mud and dust effects are completed with pigments on the lower areas of the hull and on the tracks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
