Four wheels with a flat tire for the German eight-wheeled vehicle Sd.Kfz. 234 in 1:35 scale. According to the name the package contains four pieces in the first tread rendition.
Responsibility details are not available.
According to the name the package contains four pieces whose tire has lost its pressure and settled onto the rim. The tread pattern is listed as the first type. The use is obvious: a wreck at the roadside, a vehicle out of service after a hit or a machine whose rubber has been pierced by shell splinters on one side. A combination of flat and normal wheels on one vehicle tends to be more striking in the result than changing all eight.
The German heavy eight-wheelers were among the fastest equipment of their day and their task was to find the enemy, not to fight him. The Sd.Kfz. 234 had a self-supporting hull, drive and steering to all the wheels and a second driving position at the rear, so on an unexpected encounter it reversed away at full speed. In the last year of the war, when fuel was running out and Allied aircraft commanded the sky, a great many of these vehicles ended up abandoned by the roads in exactly the state this set captures.
A flat tire assumes that the vehicle rests on the ground with its whole weight, or the effect does not work. So bend the base under the wheel slightly or build it up with filler. The rubber bleaches to gray, so leave it lighter than the rest and add dust on the upper face, where it settles when the vehicle is at rest.
The kit of the vehicle and painting materials have to be obtained separately.
