The Sd.Kfz. 251 was part of the basic equipment of the German armored units of the Second World War. Behind an armored body it carried infantry and in many modifications it fulfilled further tasks, from command to weapons roles. It has the tracked chassis at the rear, at the front an ordinary axle with tires, which is not powered and by which the vehicle steers. The wheels of the front axle are therefore the only tires on the whole vehicle, and on a model the viewer has them constantly in sight.

A civilian pattern stands alongside the off-road variants as a separate possibility and suits cases where the vehicle was shod with whatever was at hand. What to choose by will be suggested by a period photograph of the machine you are building. The set is intended for Border Models kits; for another Sd.Kfz. 251 kit, try it dry first and compare the diameter of the wheel and the mounting on the pin.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down, so that the edge of the sidewall stays whole. Then wash and degrease the wheels, otherwise the paint holds badly on them. Choose the glue according to the material given on the package and leave the exact procedure to the manufacturer's instructions. Keep the tire in a muted dark gray, bring the pattern out with a dry brush a shade lighter and separate the disk with the vehicle color. Finally unify the fitted wheels with the model by dusting from the ground upward.
What is supplied is the wheels alone. The carrier kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
