An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz.10 light half-track tractor in the Ausf.B version in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Dragon. The model is worked out as a Smart Kit - it combines precisely shaped plastic parts with photo-etched metal and clear parts and captures the production form of 1942. The open body of the tractor offers room for a detailed rendering of the interior and the crew compartment.
The Sd.Kfz.10 was a light half-track tractor of the one-ton load class, built by the Demag company and by other firms. It served above all as an artillery tractor for light weapons - for example the 3.7cm PaK 35/36 anti-tank gun or the 2cm FlaK 30 anti-aircraft gun - and carried up to eight men of a crew. The Ausf.B variant differed from the initial Ausf.A version among other things in an air compressor for braking heavier towed loads.
Assemble and paint the running gear, the wheels and the half-track runs together with the interior before you close the body up - on an open vehicle the inside stays exposed to view. Attach the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Spray a primer and then a period finish - early-war gray (Panzergrau) or the later yellow (Dunkelgelb). A wash and dust pigments on the running gear will give the vehicle an authentic patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
