A plastic kit of the Italian Semovente M42 da 75/18 self-propelled gun, used as a tank destroyer and for infantry support, in 1:35 scale from the maker Italeri. It is a modern tooling with fine detail, supplemented with photo-etched parts and a decal sheet for several marking variants. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit.
The Semovente da 75/18 was an Italian self-propelled gun built on the chassis of the M series medium tank. It carried a 75 mm howitzer with a barrel length of 18 calibers in a fixed superstructure on the hull. The M42 version was based on the later, more powerful chassis. The vehicles served with Italian units in the Second World War, and after 1943 they were widely used by the Germans as well, above all on the Italian front.
First assemble and, if need be, paint the running gear and the interior spaces, which are harder to repaint once the hull is closed. Glue the plastic with a thin modeling cement and apply a primer before painting. You will bring the characteristic Italian camouflage to life with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
