A shackle is a small but conspicuous component of military vehicles. It serves to connect a tow cable or bar to the eyes on the front and rear of a vehicle, and crews also carried them as spares. It is precisely such small items that make a model convincing: they are clearly apparent on period photographs, whereas in kits their shape is often simplified or missing altogether.
Eight shackles in 1:35 scale, as the name states. The numeral 1 in the designation distinguishes the rendering within the production range, so compare the particular shape with photographs of the vehicle you are building. The set deals with one place on a model, so it goes well with other accessories and with your own modifications to a kit.
The parts are not polystyrene, so they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder back, so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The metallic look comes out best if you paint the shackles separately from the vehicle and only then seat them, bringing out wear on the edges a little if you wish.
The vehicle kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
