This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter captures the Soviet 122 mm corps gun M1931/1937 (A-19) with M1931 wheels, in 1:35 scale. The model contains plastic parts, photo-etched elements and a metal barrel, and according to the instructions it can be assembled in the firing as well as the traveling position. The kit is meant to be assembled and painted.
The 122 mm A-19 gun came about by combining the barrel of the M1931 gun with the carriage of the 152 mm gun-howitzer (the ML-20). It was produced from the end of the 1930s and was used during the Second World War by the corps and reserve artillery of the Red Army; it stayed in service for a number of years after the war. It was marked out by long range and by the ability to destroy fortifications as well as armored targets.
Pay attention to the carriage and the spread trails, so that the gun stands steadily in both positions. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, degrease the metal barrel before spraying and apply a base color. Apply the final shade with an airbrush and bring out the detail with washes and dust pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
