The accessory set 1:35 Staghound Big accessories set completes a model of the Allied Staghound armored car. It is not a kit of the vehicle on its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory set in 1:35 scale for a model of the Staghound armored car. It is not a model of the vehicle but a set of parts with which you complete a finished model with kit, stowage and the other small things usual on machines in the field. Black Dog makes two separate accessory sets for the Staghound, this one with the Big designation and one more without it. They are two different sets, so compare the manufacturer's details before buying and pick the one that suits you.
The Staghound, under its original American designation T17E1, was a heavy four-wheeled armored car developed in the United States, but it never entered service with the American army. Practically the whole production went to the British and other Allied armies. The vehicle carried a 37 mm gun in the turret, had two gasoline engines and, by the standards of the time, very respectable range and crew comfort. In combat it came into its own in Italy, in northwestern Europe and in the Balkans, where it served mainly with reconnaissance units. After the war it stayed in service with a number of armies for many years more.
Reconnaissance cars went about loaded down with the personal kit of the crew, tarpaulins, crates and jerrycans, so the accessories will change the look of a model at once. Paint the parts apart from the vehicle, so that the difference between painted sheet metal and canvas or wood stands out. Apply the dust and mud at the very end, so that they tie the vehicle and the stowage into one scene.
