About product

PANZER ART 1:35 stowage set for the M3A1 Stuart III

This resin set is an accessory, not a tank model. It holds cast bags, tarpaulins, crates, rolled shelter halves and other field materiel, which is arranged over the hull and the turret of the light tank to give it a lived-in look from the front.

The real subject

The M3A1 Stuart was an American light tank widely used by the Allied armies during the Second World War, including under the British designation Stuart III. It proved itself in North Africa and on other battlefields. Crews routinely strapped supplies and personal kit to the tank, and the original plastic model does not hold any of it.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them down with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The variety of surfaces in the tarpaulins, wood and sheet metal comes out well once brought up with washes and dust pigments.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of Stuart light tanks in 1:35 scale
  • Diorama builders looking for realistic stowage
  • More experienced modelers working with resin
  • Collectors of detail accessories

The set serves as an accessory for a plastic model. The model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
