Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet SU-76M light self-propelled gun in 1:35 scale from the Zvezda brand. The model captures the vehicle's characteristic low silhouette with its open superstructure. The parts are molded in gray polystyrene, and the package usually holds a decal sheet with several marking options.
The SU-76M was a Soviet light self-propelled gun built on the lengthened chassis of a light tank and armed with a 76.2 mm ZiS-3 gun in an open superstructure at the rear. A great many of these vehicles were built, serving for the direct fire support of infantry and as an improvised anti-tank weapon. The open fighting compartment made the gun easier to work but exposed the crew to fire and to the weather.
The open superstructure means that the interior and the gun are clearly visible - finish and paint them before closing anything over. Assemble and paint the running gear before the hull is closed up. Use thin cement for plastic and a primer, and an airbrush for the Soviet green; washes and pigments will add realistic weathering and traces of use.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
