A precisely turned metal gun barrel for models of the Soviet SU-85 tank destroyer in 1:35 scale. It is an aftermarket replacement part that replaces the plastic barrel from the original kit with a perfectly straight and symmetrical metal one with a faithful muzzle. It does not contain a model of the vehicle.
The SU-85 was a Soviet tank destroyer of the Second World War built on the chassis of the T-34 tank and armed with an 85 mm gun. It was deployed against German tanks, which it could face at greater range. The metal gun barrel replaces a plastic part that, once its halves are glued, tends to show seams and a slight bend.
Lightly roughen the metal part for better paint adhesion, or use a primer for metal. Glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Pick out the muzzle and any fine details with a dark wash; dust and burnt effects around the muzzle suit a barrel.
This is a replacement part, not a complete model. The vehicle model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
