Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-34/76 medium tank in the 1943 production version from the Ural machine works (UZTM, Sverdlovsk). The model in 1:35 scale from Zvezda captures the typical look of the vehicle with the pressed hexagonal turret that this factory produced by its own distinctive process. The box contains a larger number of plastic parts and a decal sheet; the exact counts and markings are given in the enclosed instructions.
The T-34 belongs among the most significant tanks of the Second World War. It combined sloped armor, a powerful diesel engine and wide tracks, which gave it good mobility across country and in winter conditions. The 1943 version carried the 76mm gun, and in the Ural plant guise it differed in the shape of the turret, which was pressed from sheet.
With tanks it pays to finish the running gear and the lower hull before the upper part is closed up. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic and clean up the small joints and edges. An airbrush and a base coat (primer) are ideal for painting; final washes and pigments help to create realistic mud and dust effects on the running gear and the sides.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
