Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian BMPT tank support fighting vehicle, nicknamed the Terminator, in 1:35 scale from the maker Zvezda. The model captures the massive hull on a tank chassis and the turret with a pair of automatic cannons and anti-tank guided missiles. The set contains plastic parts and decals; glue and paints are not included in the package.
The BMPT, that is the tank support fighting vehicle, is a Russian tracked vehicle built on the chassis of a main battle tank. Its task is to protect tanks in close combat and in built-up areas against infantry, anti-tank teams and lightly armored targets. Its strong armament combines quick-firing cannons, anti-tank guided missiles and grenade launchers, so that the vehicle can engage several targets at once and act against low-flying helicopters as well. The concept came about on the basis of experience from fighting in built-up areas, where tanks on their own suffered from infantry attacks at point-blank range. The nickname Terminator has nothing to do with the film of the same name.
Build the model in subassemblies; finish and paint the running gear and the tracks before closing the hull. The broken-up turret with its armament and sensors will appreciate careful cleaning up of the parts. An airbrush with masking will handle the modern Russian camouflage scheme. The details come out after washes in the seams and recesses, and dust pigments on the running gear round the realistic weathering off.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
